We want to be seen as the voice and resource to everyone who interacts with the autism community in the Greater Capital Region. Locally, we want to sustain and grow our autism resource center as a place where anyone who needs information about autism can go. We envision the resource center as a place that brings together members of the autism community who are involved in the education, care, treatment and support of individuals with autism. We see our resource center housing a library full of up-to-date autism resources that will be available to all members of the autism community.
Statewide, we will be the driving force behind the development of a network of resources that promotes the quality of life and opportunities for positive social experiences. We will have such a powerful impact, and will increase awareness so dramatically that corporate sponsors will come to us because they want to support our work.
Our vision of our board is that of a productive group of individuals with autism, families, and professionals from the autism community. They serve on the board because the work is inspiring, rewarding and enjoyable.
